2014 Vladimir Colin Awards

On Friday, in a ceremony held in Bucharest, the winners of the 2014 Vladimir Colin Awards (full list of nominees) have been announced. Once again the list of winners of a Romanian speculative fiction award was followed by discussions and opinions, debates that risk degrading to open conflicts. These situations always make me sad and such bitter reactions cannot help the development of our speculative fiction, leaving it as a frail community of writers, editors, readers and fans. But I am not here to judge any of these, after all I do suffer the fault of subjectivity myself, I only wish to congratulate the winners and hope for the best for our speculative fiction.
